Welcome to SPDNS Nurse Care

SPDNS Nurse Care provides care for people in their own homes and supports families in their caring role. We have been caring for people in the Southend area since 1979.
Our staff are caring and very experienced, knowledgeable and well trained, supported by experienced Managers.
We work in partnership with St Luke's Hospice to provide hospice at home services for people approaching the end of life and support their families. The company is founded on a Christian ethos and cares for and employs people of all faiths and those who profess no faith.

Our services are registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission using 5 Key Lines of Enquiry - is the   service is Safe, Caring, Effective, Responsive and Well Led. Prior to any Inspection CQC will collect a range of information and evidence about our services, and will contact, service users, families, staff and professionals that SPDNS work alongside for feedback on our care.

Following our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission in November 2016 we are delighted to announce that our services have been rated as GOOD in all of the 5 Key Lines of Enquiry above with no areas requiring improvement.

Comments  from the CQC report include:
"Robust systems were in place to ensure people's safety. Staff had up to date information about people's needs which meant they were more effective in delivering appropriate care. Staff had received a wide range of training so that they had a good understanding of how to meet people's needs. Staff knew the people they were caring for and provided a personalised service.  Staff were attentive to people's needs and treated people with dignity and respect. People were supported with activities which interested them. People felt confident that they could raise any concerns to the management. The service was well led by a management team committed to providing an excellent service."
